Obituary for Cindy Warren Ellis

Cindy Warren Ellis
Cindy Gail Ellis passed away on March 19, 2018 at St. Dominic hospital with her family by her side. She was fifty five years old and was born in Canton, MS on August 17, 1962, the daughter of Helen and Eddie Warren, Sr.
She graduated from Canton Academy in 1980 and pursued her career until she married the love of her life, Bob Ellis on May 2nd. They recently celebrated thirty seven years of marriage.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 21st at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church; burial to follow at Lottville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 – 8:00 pm and after 12 noon Wednesday at the church.
When I think of the term "Steel Magnolia”, my mind is instantly filled with an image of Cindy Warren; beautiful on the outside with the appearance of fragility and somewhat delicate. A bloom that could not withstand any rough treatment. While this might be true to those that did not know her, it is not a true picture of what she was on the inside. Strong, formidable, determined and so courageous that many found it hard to understand how she continued to push forward day after day dealing with sickness that would have overwhelmed most of us. Coupled with her strength, was also a softness, a caring heart with a generous spirit and a love of God that was unparalleled. All of these things were put to good use in her life as a Minister's wife, assisting her husband in pastoring churches throughout the state of Mississippi.
Always one with a word of encouragement, a smile when it was needed most, and at times a wicked sense of humor, Cindy lavished all of these things on her family and friends. She was not one to miss out on a good time just because of a recent hospital stay or yet another surgery. There were many girl's trips that she had to go in a wheel chair and have bandages changed daily; yet she refused to be sidelined by any of it. Her sister, Vickie was her biggest cheerleader and made sure that she didn't miss out on living her life to the fullest, even when illness seemed to demand that she wasn't to be included. A spirit of adventure, loving her family in good times and bad times, made Cindy someone to be admired and to be somewhat in awe of.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Warren. She is survived by her Father, Eddie Warren, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Bob Ellis and her children Anne Ellis Mowdy (Ray), Warren Bay Ellis and Billy Andrews Ellis, and the light of her life, her grandson, Gabe Mowdy.
She is also survived by her sister, Vickie Warren Biggers, her brothers Eddie Warren Jr. (Kathi) and Stuart Warren (Katie); sister in law, Diane Ellis Mason (Mike).
Her nieces Bethany Biggers, Heather Mason, Honey Warren (Wesley) and nephews Brett (Courtney), Kyle (Cassidy) and Zachary (Sarah) Warren, Austin and David Warren, Jonathon Mason (Cheris).
