Sara’s mother was this strong figure in her life. She raised four children and was always pleasant. This serviced as a great inter strength for Sara. Sara’s mother loved Kosciusko and the people and so did her children. Jim would often say, “Sara, how do you know so many people!” Little did he know that before his life was over, it seemed that his life touched almost everyone.

Sara worked for Lake View Nursing Home in Birmingham, AL. The owner of the nursing home, Mrs. Ruby Hudson became one of Sara’s most treasured friends and Sara felt this work was the most worthwhile thing she had ever done!

The left over money was used to help pay for events for the patients. She said the patients had fun with the hustle and bustle of the yard sale, peeping out the windows and waving as the customers as they would come and go from the sale.
In 1992 Norris retired and the family moved to Beaver Valley, Ashville, AL., and the Country was different and wonderful. Sara always said.
