Condolence: I have been thinking about him a lot over these past few weeks, with his birthday last Sunday and his one year anniversary coming up. I have been listening a lot to my CD's and I always find myself closing my eyes when I listen to "As Is" and the ending when he sings "But I met the Man who cast the Giant shadow and now I stand before the kingdom that is His" I close my eyes and easily see him standing at the gates of Heaven, being welcomed with opened arms. He definitely now sees "the land where love was born, where dreams are real and youth restored" I can see him easily walking the "Streets of Heaven" meeting people, seeing people, so happy and at peace. He definitely "shined his light and shared his life and drew his strength and now his soul did take flight" and as the song goes on to say "There is a part of him that lives in us forever. All the Angels are singing Alleluia as they celebrate with him." He is definitely in our hearts. He touched so many of us and he still is touching all our lives from beyond. And on Tuesday, I will be thinking about him and, as on his birthday last Sunday, i will be lighting a candle in his memory, here at home, when I get home from work. Sorry for quoting from the songs, but I think it expresses in words better then I can express it. He has been missed dearly.

Condolence: I was shocked when I listened to the news on Dutch radio and heard that Jimi had died. I met Jimi 3 times and everytime it struck me what a nice and down to earth person he was. Of course I was a big fan, because Jimi sang on my 2 favourite all-time records "Vital Signs" and "When Seconds Count" and his concert at Firefest 2011 is the best concert I ever attended. I lost my own sweet dad late last year, so I know how difficult this time is for Jimi's children en his wife. Condolence: Music has been my life, and everyone who knows me knows that my hands-down favourite singer of all time is Jimi Jamison. Borderline obsessed I was, at times. I never got to see him in person -- drove from Canada to Beaumont TX in '07 as he was playing at a biker rally, but he was rained out and I left clutching my "When Love Comes Down" CD hoping I could get autographed. No worries, I didn't need an autograph, as I had his songs and music in my soul. And I will have that the rest of my life. I have been misty eyed for days, shocked at how his death is affecting me. RIP Jimi and love to your family and friends who are for sure feeling the loss. Everything I've ever read about him raved about what a kind loving man he was to everyone, fans to family. The world is a shade darker without him.
