Mr. John E. Ellard, 91, of the Singleton Community, passed away February 12, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, February 16th at the First United Pentecostal Church; with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 – 9 pm Wednesday and after 12 noon Thursday at the church. Culpepper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ellard was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. He was an Army Veteran, he was a retired Metal Finisher where he worked at Sheller Globe and Superior Coach.
He is preceded in death by parents, Walter and Bessie Rule Ellard; son, John “Bubba” Jr.; daughters, Diane, Sandra; grandchild, Jason; foster grandchildren, Becky, Tammy.
He is survived by wife, Emma Lee Ellard; daughters, Debbie (Virgil) Wilds, Shelia (William) Ryals, Renee (Johnny) Ray; foster children, Betty Simmers, Hazel Spence, Carlene Hughes; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
