Mr. L.T. Downs, 80, of Ethel, passed away June 6, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 10th at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel; with burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Rev. John Lumbley and Rev. Dewayne Palmertree will officiate.
Mr. Downs was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Durant. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from the Army National Guard, he also retired as an Electrician, Oil Field, French Camp Academy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lillian Downs; daughter, Beverly; grandson, Kole.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Downs; sons, Bruce (Tenna) Downs, Grady (Sherri) Kent; daughters, Dell (Alton) Vickers, Donna (Norris) Leblount, Margaret (Don) Smith, Jackie Paige; 21 grandchildren; host of great grandchildren.
L.T. was known for his guitar playing and singing in his country music group. He spent his last years singing gospel and testifying. He was also known for his clean jokes.
