Mrs. Dorothy Ann Lawrence, 81, of Canton, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 25th at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Canton; burial to follow at Lottville Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. John Loper will officiate the services.
Mrs. Lawrence was a member of Lone Pine United Methodist Church. She retired from the hospital where she worked in housekeeping.
She is survived by her son, Marty (Alicia) Lawrence; daughters, Susan (Scott) Crowdus, Freddie (Lee) Prouty, Nadine (Jerry) Babb, Karen (Jim) Hill; brother, Will Woods; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewist and Tinnie Burton Woods; husband, Jesse James Lawrence; sisters, Sarah, Ludie, Freddie; brothers, Lesla, Pete and Tap.
