The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wylodean Edwards can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Wylodean Edwards

Wylodean Edwards
Wylodean Burrell Edwards, 76, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Culpepper Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Seneasha United Methodist Church in Goodman, MS.
Ms. Edwards was born and raised in Goodman, MS. She attended Holmes Community College and was a long time employee of International Paper Company. As a resident of Kosciusko, MS for 43 years, she was a member of Kosciusko First United Methodist Church, the DAR, and her beloved UDC. She was an avid genealogist, who loved to search through old records and get to the heart of who we are and from where we came. She loved to paint with oils and spend time working in her garden. Spending time with family and friends always brought her immense joy. She was a light to us all, and dearly loved each moment she shared with all in her life. Her spirit is free, and, on Earth, she will live on in the memories we have and the life lessons she taught us all.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hal E. Burrell, and her brother, Hal R. She is survived by her mother, Blanche (nee Ables) of Goodman, MS; sister, Ann Harrell of Durant, MS; brothers, Jerry Wayne (Shirley) and Jack of Goodman, MS; and her brother, Murray (Pam) of Kosciusko; her daughter, Renee (Randy) Jones of Milton, FL; her granddaughters, Tiffany (David) of Tyler, TX and Ashton (Shane) of Mary Esther, FL; her great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Lawson, Aubrey, and Asher; numerous nieces and nephews; and other beloved extended family.
