Paul Gene  Cain
Rev. Paul Gene Cain went to his home in glory July 1, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 6th at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel; burial to follow at Coleman Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Barry Corbett and Brad Latham will officiate.
Paul was a 1961 graduate of Kosciusko High School, where he excelled in football. He was a 1965 graduate of Mississippi College, and a 1970 graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he received the Master of Theology Degree.
He taught school for two years at East Side Elementary before going on to seminary. He pastored churches in Mississippi and Louisiana for fifty three years.
He loved being a pastor and he loved and cared for his people.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Carnes and Rosie Ellington Cain; brothers, Jimmie Dan and John Robert; nephews, Steve Cain and Tommy Gould; son in law, Darren Russell.
He leaves behind his wife, Paulette “Polly” Cain; daughters, Stephanie Lee Martin and husband Craig, Rachel Tharp and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Savanah Rose Wilson, Kassidy Nicole Martin, William Tharp, Chloe Tharp, Craig Martin, Jr.; sister, Katherine Gould and her husband James; brother, David and his wife Kathy; numerous nieces and nephews.
