Obituary

Mildred Cain Lindsay passed away on March 12, 2019. She was born on April 12, 1924, to Dodd and Pearl Cain. After graduating from Sallis High School, she married Percy Guyton Lindsay, and they made Kosciusko, Mississippi, their home after his service in the military. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guyton, and daughter, Donna Edens Beckam. She is also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alonzo, Jasper, Leonard, Troy, Ethel, her sisters Maude, Della, Mary Grace. She is survived by her son, Bobby Lindsay (Betty), sister, Sarah Cain Pilgrim (Jim), grandsons Chris Edens (Jennifer), Dodd Lindsay (Amy), Ryan Lindsay (Sissy), and granddaughter, Molly Edens. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Guyton, Shelby, Ethan, Dan, Lauren, Will, Riley, Tristen, Sebastian, Taryn
Mildred had been a member of Williamsville Baptist Church since 1943 where she was actively involved as a dedicated Sunday School teacher, pianist, and founder of Williamsville’s first Vacation Bible School. She and her sister-in-law, LaNelle Lindsay Hall would drive a pick-up truck all over the surrounding area and bring the children to Bible school where they tirelessly taught. As those children grew up, she taught them in an adult Sunday School Class in later years.
We would like to say “Thank you” to Atwood Personal Care Home, Lexington Manor, and Baptist Hospice for the excellent care given to her these last few years.
Funeral services are 2:00pm Thursday at Culpepper Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time at Culpepper. Interment will be in Parkway Cemetery.

Pall Bearers will be her grandsons Chris Edens, Dodd Lindsay, Ryan Lindsay, her great grandsons Ethan Lindsay, Dan Lindsay, and nephews Duff Lindsay, Telford Lindsay, and Steven Pilgrim.
