Obituary for Alvin Springer
Alvin A. Springer, 84 of Pickens, Mississippi, passed away at River Oaks in Madison, Mississippi on Sunday, June 21, 2020. He was born July 3, 1935 in Drew, Mississippi.
Funeral services are 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Center Terrace Baptist Church in Canton. Burial will be in the Flora Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time there at 11:00.
Alvin was a member of Center Terrace Baptist Church in Canton where he served as a Sunday School teacher and was a lifetime deacon. He was also a Mason and Shriner. Alvin was a retired mechanic.
He is survived by his wife Gladys Springer; sons Gary Springer and Mike (Judy) Springer; sister Faye Crowder; grandchildren Trish (Jason) Perry; and John Michael (Megan) Springer; and great-grandchildren Emma, Annah, Addyson, Natalie, Paitlynn and Cruz.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arch and Zinnie Ellen Hawkins Springer; and his son Randy Springer.
