Obituary for Dorothy Jean "Dot" Williamson

Dorothy Jean “Dot” Williamson of Durant, MS, born September 11, 1930; passed away on July 8, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Leake, in Carthage, MS.
Survived by : Son, James Rasberry of Kosciusko, Linda Kerben of Natchez; and daughter-in-law, Becky Rasberry of Kosciusko. Grandchildren: Tony Rasberry (Suzanne) of Bude, MS; Eric Gage of Brookhaven, MS; Serena Rasberry Flowers (Merle) of Madison, MS; Amanda Rasberry Crawford (Terry) of Kosciusko, MS; Jamie Rasberry of Jackson, MS; Alex Rasberry (Kasey) of Boise, ID; Chris Rasberry (Kim) of Orlando, FL; Justin Rasberry (Alice) of Orlando, FL; Lee Walden (Shelby) of Wasilla, AK; and Garrett Walden of Gautier, MS . She had 18 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Gene Rasberry; husband, Calvin Williamson; sister, Inez Waites; and her parents: Gladys Marie Kealhoffer and Alf Shelton.
An avid fan of football and NASCAR, Dot spent the majority of her life as a hostess and waitress in the restaurant industry, where she enjoyed working in many different locations and visiting with customers from all over the world. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society. We want to say a special thank you to the staff at Trend Healthcare, Baptist Hospital – Leake, and Quality Hospice Care for their compassion and care during her final days.
