David was a 1964 graduate of Kosciusko High School where he was a member of the KHS band. He graduated from Holmes Junior College and Mississippi State University with BS, MS, and Specialist degrees in Special Education.

David’s love for children led him to a career teaching children with special needs at different schools throughout Mississippi. He also spent several years teaching at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
While David became “Paw” the moment his first grandchild was born, he had the opportunity to fully embrace the role in his later years.
