Obituary for Jimmy Patterson

James David Patterson, Sr

Jimmy Patterson, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at St Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 38 years, Paula; his son, David Patterson (Bethany); his daughter, Rebecca Lessard (Chad); his grandchildren, Tanner and Kinsley Lessard; his brothers, Pat Patterson (Laura) and Ray Patterson; and his beloved pets, Lulu and Bella.

His parents, Jack and Mary Katherine Ward Patterson preceded him in death.

Jimmy was a graduate of Kosciusko High School where he was a member of the Big Red Band and an Eagle Scout. He attended Mississippi State University and was a graduate of the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology. He was a past president and board member of the MS Jeweler’s Association. He was the owner of Patterson Jewelers in Kosciusko, following in his parents' footsteps in the jewelry industry. As a master jeweler, he was known for his ability to craft one-of-a-kind designs. He was a member of Kosciusko First United Methodist Church.

He shared his love with family and friends through cooking and making others laugh.

Join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11 am at Kosciusko First United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Kosciusko.
