Obituary for Eddie Ellington
Eddie Ellington, 73 passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Eulis and Ivona Ellington, his brother Eulis Jr, and both his sisters Joyce and Betty.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, July 11, 2022 at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon Monday until service time at Culpepper Funeral Home.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Mary Lewis Ellington, his sons Robert Ellington (Cindy), Wayne Engle (Melinda) and Jason Engle (Toni), his daughter Theresa Peeler (Sandy), 8 grandchildren Aubrey Oswalt, Sarah Peeler, Jessie Peeler, Janna Odom, Jacob Odom, Taylor Griffith, Bailey Engle, Nick Engle
and 2 great grandchildren Waylon Garrett and Gatlin Griffith.
Eddie was the long standing maintenance Supervisor for Bierdeman Rentals. He once took a short hiatus but retirement was not for him. He was also a veteran of the US Marine Corps and opted for two tours during the Vietnam War. He was also a triple Purple Heart recipient.
Family friend and pastor Donald Self will officiate the services.
