Obituary for Frances Criswell
Frances Criswell, 83, passed away Monday October 24, 2022, in Kosciusko, MS.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday October 30, 2022, at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to be at a later date.
Frances was born on September 23, 1939, to Rube and Mary Edna McBride in Attala County. She was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Durant High School. She was married to John David Criswell and together they had one son, John Kevin.
She was a longtime resident of Greenville, MS, where she had many friends. She retired from Kroger.
Lovingly known as “Aunt Bink” to a host of nieces and nephews, she also loved her son, sisters, and brothers. She especially loved her emotional support dog Beignet.
Frances is survived by her brother Bull McBride (Betty) of Kosciusko, MS, her sisters Ann Johnson (the late Toby Johnson) of Monticello, MS, Ruby Seros (Gus) of Brandon, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John David Criswell, her parents Rube and Mary Edna Criswell McBride, her son John Kevin Criswell, her brothers Burnell, George, Fred, Leo, and her sister Gertrude. Also preceding her are her niece Darlene Johnson, her nephews Tim Johnson, David McBride, Johnny McBride, and great-nephew Andy McBride.
