Obituary for Zachary Addison "Zach" Irwin

Zachary Addison "Zach" Irwin
Zachary (Zach) Addison Irwin, 22, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on September 29, 2016 at his home in Kingwood, Texas. Zachary was attending Lonestar College in Kingwood at the time of his death.

Zach was an outgoing young man; he was a lover of life! He was a dear friend to many people, old and young alike. He enjoyed his time with his friends. Zachary was known to have a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and joke around.

Zach was also known to be a great friend. He was the type of friend who would go to battle with you if needed; and he would give you the shirt off of his back. He was a friend in good times and bad and would always cheer you up or bring a smile to your face with his smile and sense of humor!

Zach was a good athlete, but he excelled in baseball! He was an excellent pitcher and first baseman and swung a big stick at the plate. He earned many honors in baseball including All State and numerous All American and/or Honorable Mention All American honors from ESPN, Rawlings, Louisville Slugger, and Perfect Game. Baseball was his love. After high school he played at East Mississippi Community College and Angelina College in Lufkin, TX. He left baseball behind after having a significant shoulder injury.

Zach also enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to go camping, hiking, biking and fishing. Zachary was also a movie buff and spent much of his time watching movies with his friends.
Zach had a larger than life personality in every sense of the word. He did everything with intensity, including his relationships. Zachary will be missed by his family and friends with this same intensity! Our love for him is unending and is equaled only by the sadness of his passing.

Zach is survived by his father, Michael Addison Irwin and wife Nicole; his mother, Lisa Falvey Vanderberry and husband Woody; siblings, Hannah Irwin, Olivia Tanner, Liza Vanderberry, Lee Tanner and Logan Vanderberry; paternal grandparents, Mary Ann Arnold and the late Dr. Roderick Addison Irwin; maternal grandparents, Doug and Nancy Falvey and maternal grandmother, Patricia Frazier, Jerry Tanner and Roslyn (Suman) Das.

Services for Zach will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, October 5th at Pinelake Church in the Madison, MS location at 223 Old Jackson Road; burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will begin at 9 am until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to The Salvation Army, as Zach had a soft spot for helping people in need.
